Tunisian report: $200,000 prevents Youssef Al-Balayli from returning to Esperance


The Tunisian site Nessma Sport revealed the presence of the Algerian agent, Youssef Al-Balayli, in Tunisia during the current period to negotiate the possibility of a return to Esperance.

According to the site, Al-Balayli wants an annual salary of $800,000 to join Esperance, while the team only wants to pay $600,000.

Negotiations are continuing during the current period to try to reach a satisfactory solution for both parties and to converge towards $200,000.

The 31-year-old previously played for Esperance for one season in 2018/2019 and won the CAF Champions League with the team.

After leaving Esperance, Al-Balayli joined Al-Ahly Jeddah and Qatar, Brest Stadium.

Al-Balayli’s last stop was with Ajaccio last season, and he appeared in 23 games, in which he scored six goals and assisted another five.

Last season, Esperance finished the Tunisian League in second place, qualifying for the African Champions League, behind title-winning ES Sahel.
